Deborah Nathan, Founder/Executive Director
Nathan provides the overall vision and leadership for Artsbridge. Nathan is an experienced artist, therapist and manager. She has been a professional artist for over 25 years, teaching art to children and adults, running a retreat center and directing various art programs throughout her career. For 20 years she owned and managed her own business that produced hand-painted silk clothing. She holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Lesley University. She did her internship and worked at Raw Art Works, a nationally recognized organization that uses art therapy approaches to help at-risk urban youth overcome their challenges and achieve success. Currently, Nathan is the Executive Director of The Salem Center for Therapy, Training, and Research, where she also provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families, and leads expressive therapy groups for children and adolescents. The Salem Center focuses on the use of postmodern dialogic and narrative techniques and specializes in cases that have not been successfully resolved in other forms of therapy. These ideas are an important component of the work of Artsbridge.

Tarek El Heneidy has been a peace activist since 1988. He is a National Council member of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, an interfaith organization working toward peace, justice and the practices of non-violence. He has extensive first-hand experience in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, having traveled many times to that region in efforts of reconciliation, dialogue, and other effective peace initiatives. Mr. El Heneidy has contributed to support the process of conflict definition and conflict resolution, both in the United States and in the Middle East and was a key player in the release of four hostages from Iraq during the 1990-1991 war. Tarek is a Naturalized US citizen and obtained a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He held engineering positions at IBM, Cogar, and Transitron, and also headed several companies marketing electronic components and computers to Europe and the Far East.. Tarek is active in the Muslim community, although he is not a cleric, he participates in panel discussions and organizes lectures and presentations on Islam in the local mosque, church, synagogue, and school community.

David Trimble, Ph.D, is a clinical psychologist in practice in Brookline, Massachusetts.  He has from its beginning been involved with the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology, a psychology internship at Boston Medical Center, where he now teaches culturally competent family therapy.  A scion of many generations of Methodist ministry, David converted to Judaism in 2006.  As a Jew, he feels that he is obliged to take moral responsibility for Israel in its relationships with its residents and neighbors.

Peter Nathan is currently the Director of Global Business Development at New England Biolabs Inc., a leading Biotechnology Company located in Ipswich MA.  Born and raised in England, he met Debbie while both were living and studying in Israel.  Peter has experienced many countries and cultures over the course of his education and professional career.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of East Anglia, in Norwich, England, his Master of Science from Tel-Aviv University and his Ph.D., from Princeton University.   He first joined NEB in 1987 as a Post Doctoral fellow and then became a key member of their business team when he was appointed as Director of Marketing.  An effective manager and cross cultural negotiator, Peter also gives of his time by serving on various boards and committees as well as coaching soccer to 5th through 8th grade children.  Peter considers himself fortunate to have had a number of positive role models throughout his life’s journey and a warm caring family to share his experiences with.

Elias Audy was born in Lebanon, and came to the United States at age 19 to study at the University of Houston in Texas and then at Northeastern University in Boston Elias currently owns and operates 2 Mobil stations in Brookline and a used car dealership. He has received the “Citizen Award” from the Kids Clothes Club (KCC), the “Earth Day Award” from both the Brookline Chamber of Commerce and Town of Brookline, “Best Business Practice” by the Brookline Chamber of Commerce, “Friend of Education Award” by the Brookline Educators Association BEA in year 2000 and “1996 Businessman of the Year Award” by the Brookline Chamber of Commerce. Recognized by Mobil Oil Corporation with their highest SCHROEDER Award. Elias is a very active Rotarian and served as the president of the Brookline Rotary Club 1999-2000. Elias currently serves on multiple boards and has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce from 2003-2005, after serving as its President for 2 years. Besides his busy schedule, he likes to spend his time sharing and caring for people in need.

Lee Rosenvold’s professional career included 24 years in international business development with associated travel to over 20 foreign countries.  She organized international conferences and hosted foreign executives and technical support staff. Her formal education includes a graduate degree in science. She has held leadership positions in her faith community. Her hobbies include gardening, reading and a passion for bird watching that has compelled her to travel to the Arctic and Antarctic Oceans as well as several countries in between.  When she lived closer to Boston she volunteered as a reader for blind undergraduate students at Boston University and Harvard. Lee lives in a coastal town north of Boston where she volunteers for a local non-profit organization.

Greg Williams Is General Counsel at New England Biolabs, Inc. and part of the Global Business Development team. He received his B.Sc. and JD from McGill University and an LL.M from University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining New England BioLabs, he was a partner in an IP firm in Boston with a specialty in biotechnology. Presently, he also serves as a Selectman.
